Redemption '09 was the absolute best as I was Pruple Drazi Leader and Simon was Green. Sarah looked after us as usual. Sarah and I went as Zee and Bar from Blake's 7 as well and Lyta and Talia from Babylon 5. I entered the chaos costume as The Liberator and sang in the cabaret. The Scottish Falsetto Sock Puppets were the cabaret highlight. |

I did go to Redemption '05, but somehow never got round to reporting it, so here's Redemption '07 Simon, Sarah and I went together again and this time Simon ran for Ruler Of The Universe as Kosh. |

I went to Redemption '03 with Sarah and Simon again. This one had to be the ultimate convention. How could this be a more fun convention than the last? Well, I think it's down to a wonderful collection of guests who mucked in, socialised and had as much fun as everybody else.
Damian London, the Regent from Babylon 5 came all the way from America and was charming, interesting and great fun to be with. Tanith Lee, author and writer of two B7 scripts was a delight and Mike Collins, comic book artist, was great fun. Chris Boucher, editor and writer for B7 (we managed to miss meeting him but everybody else said what a nice chap he is). Simon and I spent day 1 in our Centauri outfits which impressed the Regent. We entered the fancy dress as a Vorlon and Jool from Farscape respectively. Simon won the space rats remote control car race (by being the only entrant unfortunately) and came either equal second or third (I can't remember which) with another Vorlon in the masquerade. I spent day 2 dressed as Jool from Farscape and Simon dressed as a Victorian gent.
I won the great tribble hunt and so gave Drazi points to my great Drazi
leader (purple) who won, mainly because the perfidious green Drazi leader
used his Drazi points to buy votes in the ruler of the Universe competition
(which he won). |

I went to Redemption '01 with Sarah and Simon. Much better prepared this
time, Simon and I had managed to see two series of Babylon 5 and now understood
the the concept of the Drazi war. This war runs throughout the convention,
so everyone is given either a blue or green badge and both sides compete
in many silly competitions (fancy dress, limericks, door decoration, cricket
...) to gain Drazi points for their leader. Woo Hoo! We won the fancy dress competition! This is my report on Redemption '01.
Semra then did a quick change and danced in the cabaret (still bald).

I went to Redemption '99 with my friend, Sarah. It was the
first convention I'd ever gone to and since I'd only ever seen 3 episodes
of Babylon 5, was a bit nervous of being out of my depth. (Drazi war?
what's that?) No worries though, there was all sorts of stuff going on
and everybody was very friendly. I also danced in the cabaret (my very first choreography).
